About Respite 4 Change
Respite For Change is a Christ-centered organization committed to fostering transformation and complete restoration in the lives of the women we serve. While we welcome women from all walks of life, we specialize in supporting young women navigating at-risk behaviors and the families who walk alongside them.
We embrace a holistic approach to counseling—caring for the mind, body, and spirit—through Biblical counseling, mentorship, deliverance, and inner healing. By addressing the whole person, we help individuals uncover the roots of emotional pain, break destructive cycles, and step into the freedom and identity God intended for them.
Our mission is to cultivate lasting change by empowering the women we serve to nurture their emotional well-being, spiritual growth, and overall wholeness. Whether a woman is seeking healing from past wounds, guidance through present challenges, or restoration within her family, Respite For Change provides a safe, compassionate, and Christ-centered environment where true transformation can take place.
We make our services accessible and convenient by offering virtual counseling sessions via Zoom or teleconference. For those who value in-person connection, face-to-face appointments are available throughout the Treasure Coast area of South Florida.

Richard Germaine
Richard Germaine is President and Owner of Joyful Life Christian Counseling Center in Vero Beach, Florida.
He is a Licensed Christian Counselor, Certified Temperament Therapist, and a Professional Clinical and Executive Member of the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). Richard is also a Commissioned Minister of Counseling at Central Assembly of God in Vero Beach. Richard also holds a B.A. in Psychology from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY
Richard’s ministry blends biblical truth, prayer, and temperament counseling to help individuals, couples, and families find emotional and spiritual healing. Using the Arno Profile System, he helps clients understand their God‐given temperament so they can grow, strengthen relationships, and walk in greater wholeness.

Founder, Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor
Patrice Gaillard, PhD
Patrice is passionate about helping individuals and families break free from the weight of shame, guilt, and the sense of failure often experienced in parenting—especially for parents navigating the challenges of raising high-risk teens.
She is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and brings both personal understanding and professional expertise to her work. Patrice holds a PhD in Christian Counseling and a Master’s degree in Applied Science. She is a Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor, a Certified Temperament Therapist, an ordained minister, and a professional clinical and executive member of the National Christian Counselors Association. Patrice has also completed specialized training in Deliverance and Inner Healing through the International Society of Deliverance Ministers, Righteous Act Ministries, and Invicta University School of Deliverance and Inner Healing.
With more than 25 years of experience mentoring women—including those within the penal system—Patrice offers compassionate guidance, practical tools, and a safe, judgment-free environment for healing and growth.
